Late Work Policy:
For each day that an assignment is late, students will receive 10 points off their total grade. If the assignment is more than 3 days late, it is no longer accepted. However, if students will to turn it in for a partial grade, it will require a parent signature acknowledging that the assignment was late. This does not include students who have accommodations that allow them additional time (though these students must adhere to the extended time - if they exceed it, the same late work policy applies).
Students who are absent but were aware of the assignment's due date prior to them not being at school are still expected to turn in the assignment when they return. The only time absences affect deadlines are if the student missed out on instructional time and therefore could not complete the assignment or if they were not there when it was assigned. Please contact me with any questions regarding this policy.
Class Information/Expectations:
- Students are expected to arrive on time and be prepared for class.
- Water is the only drink allowed in the classroom. Students may no longer eat a snack in the classroom.
- While we are a "no-homework" school, students WILL finish any classwork that is undone at home. Extended day assignments are those assignments that can not or were not completed in class.
- Absences - if students are absent, it is their responsibility to find out what they missed in class. They will have the appropriate number of days to complete their assignment before it is considered late.
- Participation - Weekly participation is expected. Students who choose not to participate, turn in assignments or study for their tests will see this reflected on their grade. Conduct or behavior issues will be handled through the appropriate method as outlined in the school handbook.
- School dress code is strictly enforced! Please be sure to arrive in class wearing the appropriate uniform.
